FLORENCE, Ky. – In a tightly contested midweek contest at Thomas More, Kentucky State Baseball was edged 4-3 by the Saints Wednesday in Florence, Kentucky.

Mario Rivas hit a two-run home run and
A.J. Jackson hit a double during the midweek battle at Thomas More.
Thomas More took a first inning lead scoring on a single into left field. Kentucky State responded with a two-run homerun into right center from
Mario Rivas that put the Thorobreds ahead 2-1 through two innings.
In the fourth inning the Saints scored two runs on a double into center field to take a 3-2 lead.
Zion Lewis singled into right field batting in
A.J. Jackson to tie the contest at 3-3 at the top of the eighth inning. The Saints added a run at the bottom of the inning that gave them the edge and a 4-3 win.
UP NEXT
The Thorobreds will head to Tuskegee, Alabama March 15-16 for a conference series at Tuskegee.
