JACKSON, Tenn. – Lane used a high-scoring second quarter to pull away and defeat Kentucky State women's basketball 69-49 Monday night in Jackson, Tennessee.

Jordan Isom was the lone Thorobred to score in the double figures with 12 points while leading the contest with five assists.
The Dragons opened the first quarter scoring six unanswered points before Junior
Bailey Lee scored on a layup at the 5:03 mark. Just over a minute later, Isom tied the game 6-6, scoring on a fastbreak at 3:50 of the first.
Both teams managed to keep the first quarter close with three ties in the final two minutes, and a second chance bucket in the paint from Lane would tie the game 12-12 at the end of the quarter.
Late in the second quarter, Lane went on a 13-point run that was capped by a fast break layup on a turnover from Kentucky State that gave them a 19-point 35-17 with 42 seconds remaining in the half. A three-pointer in the final seconds gave the Dragons a 19-point 38-19 halftime lead.
The Dragons extended their lead to a quarter-high 51-25 on a fast break score with 5:22 left in the third quarter.
Lane's momentum continued into the fourth quarter, going on a nine-point run that sealed a 69-49 win for the Dragons.
