TAMPA, Fla. – The Kentucky State men's basketball road swing in Florida ends with a 104—69 loss at the University of Tampa.
Sean Paige went 8 of 9 at the free-throw line and added five field goals to lead Kentucky State with 18 points. He was joined in double figures by
Keon Henderson and
Dashawn Hall, who scored 10 points apiece.
Tampa's Ryan Blount paced all scorers with 33 points, going a perfect 11 of 11 at the line while grabbing a game-high eight rebounds.
Tampa used 16 second-chance points in the first half to build a 43-30 lead at the break.
The Spartans continued to control the tempo in the second half, outscoring Kentucky State 36-24 in the paint and adding 11 fast-break points to pull away for a 104-69 win.
