SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Kentucky State women's volleyball team will travel to face undefeated Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in a doubleheader on Saturday, September 15. The first match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
The Pomeroys (14-0) have been dominant this season, riding a 14-match winning streak that includes 10 victories by 3-0 sweeps. Last year, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods defeated Kentucky State 3-0 in both meetings on September 8, 2023.
Kentucky State (0-1) opened its 2024 season at home on September 5 with a 3-0 loss to the University of the Cumberlands. Transfer
Randi Neal led the Thorobreds' defensive efforts with two blocks, while
Kyeana Biggs and
Jaicee Corcoran each tallied seven kills.
Amber Gregory contributed a team-high 14 assists, and
Justice Mudd added eight digs.
The Thorobreds will look to rebound and challenge the Pomeroys in Saturday's doubleheader.
