COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Saturday, April 19th, Kentucky State Head Men's Basketball Coach Dr. Jamaal Jackson led the HBCU All-Stars to a 134-130 overtime victory over the Ohio All-Stars in the 2024 Classic for Columbus.

Jaylen Alston of Winston Salem State University led the HBCU team and was the game's MVP, scoring 42 points and grabbing 22 rebounds.

The HBCU team holds a 2-1 lead in the series.

The all-star basketball game pits HBCU basketball players versus basketball players from colleges and universities in Ohio. A week long of events and activities with the purpose of raising scholarship funds leads up to the basketball game, which was held in The Ohio State University's Jerome Schottenstein Center.

"It was an honor to come back home and represent for the HBCUs. This is my third year being involved with the Classic. The first two years I served as the assistant coach (for the HBCU TEAM). It was good to take the reins this year and get the win. Maybe next year, I can come back, get another win, and pass the baton on to the next guy."

Dr. Jamaal Jackson's Basketball Camp will be held at Kentucky State University June 17-20. For more information, go to www.jjacksonbasketballcamps.com
