JACKSON, Tenn. – Kentucky State women's volleyball continues their recent momentum with a four-set victory over Tuskegee on Saturday, winning by scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, and 25-14. The Thorobreds are now 7-7 in SIAC play and second in the SIAC West Division.
The Thorobreds balanced attack was key, as they recorded 48 kills and 10 service aces.
Randi Neal led the way with 13 kills and a .423 hitting percentage.
Leah Tubbs was impactful during the match with eight kills and three blocks. Kentucky State's defense was crucial, accumulating 53 digs and forcing Tuskegee into 27 attack errors.
Amber Gregory continued to assist her teammates with 20 assists while adding five aces. Kentucky State's aggressive serving resulted in seven blocks against the Golden Tigers.
The Thorobreds will return to Frankfort and host Lane on Friday, Nov. 1
st at 7 p.m. inside Bell Gym.
