MACON, Ga. — The Kentucky State University women's cross country team took 10th place at the 2024 SIAC Women's Cross Country Championship on Wednesday, October 23, in Macon, Georgia.
The Thorobreds were led by
Zhakeya Hawkins, who finished 18th overall with a time of 21:57.16, marking a strong individual performance.
Kanylah Young came in 56th place, crossing the line at 26:09.53, while
Iyanna Thompson-Carson followed closely behind in 58th place with a time of 26:12.10.
Hailey Tucker (63rd, 26:26.03) and
Alexandria Woods (75th, 28:29.65) completed the scoring effort for Kentucky State.
Albany State claimed the team title with a score of 40 points, followed by Tuskegee (52 points) and Central State (98 points).
Kentucky State will aim to regroup and refine their approach as they look forward to the indoor track season ahead.
