ROCK HILL, SC – The Kentucky State University women's cross country team finished eighth of 13 teams in the 2019 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships Friday.
Freshman
Esperance Nibitanga (Louisville, Ky.) led the way with the time of 22:33.9 to place 23rd, while freshman
Timmia Crayton-Prioleau (Cleveland, Ohio) was the second KSU harrier to complete the 5K course. Crayton-Prioleau placed 32nd with the time of 23:48.2.
Sophomore
Alaria Long (Covington, Ky.) trimmed more than a minute off her previous career-best time, placing 37th with the time of 24:32.0. Freshman
Jaylynne Williams was 46th in the time of 25:32.4, while junior
Gernee Lockhart (Louisville, Ky.) posted the time of 26:03.3 to place 49th.
Rounding out the Kentucky State University contingent were freshman
Hidejuha Kennedy (Columbia, S.C.) with the time of 29:39 (58th) and freshman
Ketisa Akambasi (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the time of 28:16.1 (60th).
