FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky State University Softball team have signed seven student-athletes to join the team for the 2024 season.
Three of those signees are Kentucky natives, Rhealee Ellis (Frankfort HS - Frankfort), Elizabeth Hansen (Henry County HS - Pleasureville), Alarriya Jones (Madisonville North Hopkins HS - Manitou). In addition the signing class includes three from across the nation, Savannah Teale (Greenville, Wisc.), Brooklyn Holt (Jamestown, Tenn.), Laila Troxler (Liberty, Mo.) and Lillie-Anne Hollom (Snowflake, Ariz.).
Rhealee Ellis, hailing from Frankfort, Kentucky, attended Frankfort High School. Known for her versatility, she will be playing the Utility position. Ellis boasts an impressive career .330 batting average.
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Hansen from Pleasureville, Kentucky, who played at Henry County High School. Hansen will be taking on the Middle Infielder position for the team. Her standout senior year performance includes an outstanding .427 average, 41 hits, 10 doubles, 4 triples, 21 RBI's, and 12 stolen bases.
From Madisonville North Hopkins High School in Manitou, Kentucky, Alarriya Jones will be joining the team as a Catcher and Outfielder
Savannah Teale, from Greenville, Wisconsin, previously attended Hortonville High School. She will be playing 1B and UT positions. Teale has an impressive .405 batting average and has driven in 23 RBI's.
Brooklyn Holt comes from Jamestown, Tennessee, where she played at Alvin C. York Institute. Holt will be taking on the P position and brings an impressive resume, including a 2.30 ERA, 119 strikeouts, and two perfect games as a pitcher. Her batting average of .471 and 18 RBI's.
Lillie-Anne Hollom joins the team from Snowflake High School in Snowflake, Arizonia. Hollom will be playing as a C, bringing her career .484 batting average, 46 hits, 15 doubles, 3 home runs, and 34 RBI's.
Lastly, from Liberty, Missouri, Laila Troxler attended Liberty North High School and played as an outfielder. Troxler brings a .365 batting average, 6 doubles, 10 stolen bases, and only 3 errors during her senior year.
Kentucky State softball is set to release their 2024 schedule later this fall.
