Kentucky State Men's volleyball falls to Missouri S&T Miners 0-3 on Saturday, January 14.
The first set was just a five-point difference between the Thorobreds and Miners. A kill by Trent Findley, followed by a service ace from
Jordan Howard, brought the Men's team within four points 11-15. Back-to-back service errors from the Thorobreds would end the set 20-25.
At the start of the second set,
Kade Andruski assisted
Jordan Howard for the kill making it 3-4. An early scoring run by the Miners in the second set would result in a 15-25 second set.
Kentucky State fell behind 0-3 at the beginning of the third set but would come back 6-8. A kill by
Kaden Okin would close the miner lead to 3 points, 8-11. The Thorobreds had a .286 hitting percentage compared to the Miners .200 in the third set. However, the Miners would take the set 17-25 and the match 0-3.
Jordan Howard had eight kills and two aces. Teammate
Jamal Singleton hit a .600 with three kills.
The Thorobreds next match is Friday, January 20, at 4 p.m. against Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio.
