CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – In the final day of the SIAC Crossover, Kentucky State women's volleyball defeated Allen and fell to both Edward Waters and Savannah State.
Kentucky State 0, Savannah State 3
The Savannah State Tigers defeated the Thorobreds in three straight sets, 25-20, 25-13, and 25-22.
Kentucky State led the match with a team of five aces and 42 digs.
Shaska Davis led both teams with two aces while leading her team with eight kills and tallying ten digs.
Miana Wallace led the Thorobreds with three blocks, along with earning six kills.
Mariah Green led her team with 13 assists.
Kentucky State 1, Edward Waters 3
Kentucky State won the opening set 26-24 as Edward Waters won three straight sets 25-19,25-13, and 25-21 to win the match 3-1.
The Thorobreds led the match with 13 blocks and seven aces as a team. Wallace led the match with nine blocks. Davis had another strong performance of seven kills and three aces.
Audi Hicks led her team with 20 assists, and
Justice Mudd led with 12 digs
Kentucky State 3, Allen 1
The Allen Yellow Jackets took the first set 25-18. The Thorobred won three straight sets 25-22,25-23 and 25-15 to win the match 3-1.
The Thorobreds controlled the match leading the match with 65 points, 52 kills, ten aces, 49 assists, and 70 digs.
Davis led the match with 16 kills and earned one ace and 16 digs.
Amaya Johnson led the match with three aces and 28 digs. Wallace led with two blocks and earned eight kills during the match.
