WILMORE, Ky. – The Kentucky State women's volleyball team won the third set but could not climb all the way back in a 3-1 loss to the Asbury Eagles in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Asbury took a 2-0 lead early after winning set one 25-15 and set two 25-21. The Thorobreds fought back in the third, winning the set 28-26. In the fourth and final set, the Eagles would come out with a 25-19 win and a match win of 3-1.
Kentucky State led the match with 11 blocks, as
Nehemiah Colbert led both teams with seven blocks.
Shaska Davis led her team with 11 even kills and 11 digs, and her teammate
Audi Hicks led with 13 assists and four aces.

Women's Volleyball will be in Cartersville, Georgia from Sept. 23-24, for the SIAC East/West Crossover. The Thorobreds will open to Benedict on Friday at 3 p.m.
