How It Happened
A solid offensive team effort allowed the Magicians to take an 18-8 first-quarter lead.
LeMoyne-Owen gained a 21 point lead late in the second quarter to go into the first half with a 39-22 lead.
Kentucky State returned from the half-ready to compete, outscoring the Magicians 21-14 in the third quarter. Thomas led the effort with eight points.
Wallace would bring the game to within one (67-68, LOC) the final ten seconds of the fourth quarter on a Fastbreak layup. In the final moments, the Magicians would be sent to the line to go 2-of-2 from the free-throw line to win the game 67-70.
