FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State women's basketball falls to University of South Carolina Aiken 67-49 Monday afternoon.
Hilani Cantone led the Thorobreds with 13 points followed by teammate
Laurie Thomas who scored ten points and led Kentucky State with nine rebounds.
How It Happened
Gracen Kerr scored the first points on a three-pointer to give Kentucky State a 3-2 lead early in the first quarter. A 10-0 scoring run by the Pacers gave them a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
At the end of the second quarter USC Aiken led by 14 to take a 38-24 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Pacers outscored the Thorobreds 17-13 to end the third quarter with a 55-37 lead.
Cantone scored eight of the 12 points by Kentucky State to match the 12 points scored by USC Aiken.
