MEMPHIS – Six set wins excel Kentucky State women's volleyball to a victory against Tuskegee and LeMoyne Owen on the final day of the SIAC West Cluster II hosted by LeMoyne Owen in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
Kentucky State 3, Tuskegee 0
The Thorobreds dominated the opening set 25-17, the second set 25-18, and the third set 25-20 to secure a 3-0 sweep. 
 

As a team, the Thorobreds tallied 40 kills, led by Amaya Johnson with nine, and both Shaska Davis and Cymiya Stokes earned eight. Audi Hicks once again led both teams with 19 assists. 

 
Kentucky State 3, LeMoyne Owen 1
In the opening set, the Magicians pulled away with a 25-22 win. The Thorobreds battled back to win the following three sets 25-16, 25-17, and 25-14. 
 
Justice Mudd led the contest tallying 26 digs, leading her team, and co-leading the match with three aces. The Thorobreds controlled the match with 49 kills, led by Miah Colbert (11), Stokes (10), and Davis (8). Hicks had another strong performance with 25 assists. 
 
Up Next 
Kentucky State will return home to host rival Central State on Friday, October 28, at 7 p.m as the Thorobreds celebrate their seniors for Senior Day. The Senior Day presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
