Softball Ends 2021 Season with Celebration of Seniors

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State softball team saluted three seniors, Rosemary Rodriguez, Sydney Campbell, and Kailen Olison, played their final doubleheader against Walsh (Ohio) at State Stadium in Frankfort, Kentucky.

With the unique situation of the pandemic and college sports, this year's senior class faced many challenges and fought through adversity. "As a group, they are special because they been through us with the up and the downs, they've got to experience a senior year like no one ever has before, and I appreciate them for pushing through it because it would've been just as easy to say I'm out." Coach David Morton said.

All three seniors will further their education by attending graduate schools in the fall. "They are all off to graduate school.
That's the main thing we are graduating and getting off to graduate school. They will have a lot of success ahead of them." Coach Morton said.

In the first contest, outfielder Tommya Davis scored a run in the third inning. The Thorobreds would drop the first game 1-6.

The Thorobreds would drop their final contest 0-10 after five innings.
