FORT VALLEY, Ga. – Both Kentucky State men's and women's basketball are set to begin league play on the road at Fort Valley State on Saturday, November 27, inside the HPE Arena in Fort Valley, Georgia.Â

Women's basketball will tip-off at 1 p.m., followed by the men's team at 3 p.m.Â

The Opponents
WBB:Â In an exhibition contest, Fort Valley State women's basketball opened their season with a 71-99 loss to Georgia Southern.
Â
 In regular season play, the Wildcats are 0-2, with a 73-79 loss in their season opener to Shorter University followed by a 50-87 loss to Georgia Southern State. Fort Valley will open their home schedule to the Thorobreds.

On January 4, 2020, both teams last met inside the William Exum Center, where the Wildcats narrowly defeated the Thorobreds 55-52.Â
MBB:Â Fort Valley State men's basketball is 0-5 in the early portion of their 2021-22 schedule.Â

The Wildcats will open their home schedule to the Thorobreds after a two-game road trip to Texas. The road trip opened with a 60-84 loss to the University of Texas at Tyler, followed by a 69-78 loss to Texas A&M Commerce.Â

WBB:Â Â Kentucky State women's basketball is 2-1 in regular season play and 2-0 on the road.Â

In their last regular season contest, Kentucky State defeated Bluefield State 56-53.
Taleah Dilworth led the Thorobreds with 13 points, and
Taylor Robinson led with eight rebounds.Â

Kentucky State made a quick trip to Division I opponent Western Kentucky for an exhibition contest; the Hilltoppers would win the contest 96-59.
Andrea Wallace would lead the Thorobreds with ten points and seven rebounds.Â

MBB:Â Kentucky State men's basketball is 2-1 in regular season play and 2-0 on the road.Â

The Thorobreds defeated Ohio Dominican in a second-half rally 72-70 in their last time out.
Montrell Jacobs led his team with 22 points and three steals alongside his teammate
Kong Kong who matched Jacob in steals.
Jalon Andrews led Kentucky State with six rebounds. As a team, the Thorobreds tallied 11 steals and two blocks. Â
