BLUEFIELD, W.Va – Success on the road continues for Kentucky State women's basketball as they defeat the Bluefield State Big Blue 56-53.
The Kentucky St. defense held the Big Blue to single digits in the first quarter to gain a 13-8 lead at the end of the first. At halftime, the Thorobreds would hold a 27-23 lead, and in the third quarter, they would outscore the Big Blue 16-14. The Big Blue would shoot 80% from long distance in the final quarter and win the quarter 16-13. The late rally by Bluefield would not be enough to defeat Kentucky State, and the Thorobreds would win 56-53.
