Box Score 2 VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Kentucky State University softball team dropped two games to Division I opponents Friday. In the afternoon game, the Thorobreds fell to Jackson State, 6-1. In the late game, KSU lost to Southern, 10-2.

Kendall Collier (Nashville, Tenn.) smacked a two-out double to scored sophomore
Olivia Saylor (Lancaster, Ky.) for Kentucky State's lone run of the game.

Collier, 0-2, allowed six earned runs on 10 hits with one strikeout in six innings of work.
GAME TWO: SOUTHERN 10, KENTUCKY STATE 2
Junior catcher
Sidney Campbell (Ashland, Ky.) recorded two of Kentucky State's seven hits and had the team's lone RBI as KSU fell to the Division I Jaguars. It was the second career multi-hit game for Campbell.
Allen and senior
Katie Arbec (Louisville, Ky.) each scored runs for the Thorobreds. Four players – Saylor, Allen, Arbec and freshman
Alexis Menifee (Lexington, Ky.) – tallied a hit for Kentucky State.
Collier, 0-3, allowed 10 runs on 22 hits with six strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Kentucky State (0-4) travels to Sumter, S.C. for the SIAC/CIAA Challenge starting Friday. The Thorobreds play Fayetteville State noon Friday and Claflin 2:30 p.m. Friday.
