GAME PREVIEW: Fort Valley State

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: Fort Valley enters the game on a four-game losing streak after a 121-85 loss to Embry-Riddle on December 21. Four players reached double figures with Shawn Foxbrennen and Malik Clark each dropping 18 points. Clark scored his total in just nine minutes of action, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range.
 
The 6-7 Foxbrennen lead the Wildcats in scoring (15.3 ppg) and rebounds (7.7 rpg), while K'Viontae Williams is second on the team with 13.6 points and is third with 5.1 rebounds.
 
SUPERHERO SATURDAY: All kids under 13, dressed like their favorite superhero, will receive free admission into the game.
 
PROLIFIC OFFENSE: Kentucky State is leading the SIAC in scoring with 76.8 points per game, however, the Thorobreds are ninth in the league in scoring margin at negative 2.2 points. KSU is yielding 78.8 points per game, which is 10th in the league.

Thanks to senior Jordan Little, who is second in the league in shooting, Kentucky State is third in the SIAC with a field goal percentage of 45.3 percent. The ability to share the ball is aiding in the ability to get quality shots as the Thorobreds are third in the league with 14.5 assists.
 
LONG RANGE DEFENSE: Kentucky State leads the league in three-point defense with teams making just 26.2 (69-of-263) percent of their three-point attempts.
 
HITTING THE GLASS: Senior Jordan Little is second in the league in offensive rebounding, averaging 2.8 boards, while senior Shaq Athie is second with 6.5 defensive rebounds. Athie is part of the reason why the Thorobreds lead the SIAC with 29.8 defensive rebounds.
