BEREA, Ky. – The Kentucky State men's cross country team placed eighth in the 10-team Mike and Mary Kay Johnson Invite, hosted by Berea College.
Senior
Cameron Galloway (Paducah, Ky.) led the team with a 19th place finish in a time of 28:28.7, while junior
Mark Johannemann (Louisville, Ky.) finished the 8K course in a career-best time of 29:39 to finish 36th overall.
Freshman
Roderic Walls (Albany, Ga.) was the third Thorobred harrier across the tape, placing 59th with a time of 32:38.1. The final two Kentucky State runners to score with freshman
Dejuante Davenport (Frankfort, Ky.) in 36:40.6 and sophomore
Easton Phillips-Ware (Kapolei, Hawaii) in 50:38.6.
Kentucky State returns to action Friday at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational at the Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, Ind.
