Kevin Wharton-Price's three-pointer at the buzzer fell short, and the Kentucky State University men's basketball team fell to Morehouse, 81-78, Saturday in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Forbes Arena.
Wharton-Price (Pittsburgh, Pa.) continued his steady play with a team-high 15 points, marking the fifth straight game he reached double figures. Senior
Shaq Athie (Cincinnati, OH) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for this third double-double of the season.

Jordan Little (Jersey City, N.J.) also tabulated a double-double, his fifth of the season, with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman
Jalen Fisher (Ypsilanti, Mich.) added 12 points. Graduate
Felix Wilson (Lexington, Ky.) dished out a season-high eight assists. It was third time this season, Kentucky State recorded more assists than turnovers.
Kentucky State came out on fire, shooting 56.7 percent (17-of-30) from the floor in the first half, and finished shooting 43.5 percent (27-of-62) for the game.
Kentucky State (5-7 overall, 2-3 SIAC) returns home 7:30 p.m. January 4, hosting Fort Valley State University.
