Hall of Famer Jones signs in Argentina

Former Kentucky State University men's basketball player Kenny Jones has signed to continue his professional career in Argentina.

Jones attended KSU until 2008, and it is his eleventh season as a professional player. He was recently inducted into the K-Club Hall of Fame.

Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro (La Liga Argentina) signed the experienced 34-year old American power forward. He started the season at Cape Breton Highlanders in Canadian NBL. In 13 NBL Canada games, Jones had very impressive stats with 16.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals.

Jones played 50 games last season at Hindu (TNA) averaging 17.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and a steal. He helped them to end the regular season as a second-best team in the league. Quite impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA second Team.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Jones' team won Argentinian TNA North Regular Season in 2017. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian TNA Import Player of the Year in 2014.

He has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Jones has played previously professionally in Chile (CD Tinguiririca San Fernando), Germany (Dachau), Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon, Fuerza Guinda Nogales and Nogaleros), Argentina (Instituto) and PBL (Kentucky).
