Robin Poole registered her eighth double-double of the season as the Kentucky State University volleyball team opened the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament with a straight set (25-12, 25-18, 25-19) victory over Paine. (

Thorobreds improves to 21-20 on the season and will play #1E Albany State 8 p.m. EST.
Poole (Katy, TX) led the team with 11 kills on 17 attempts with two errors and added a team-high 11 digs in the victory. Sophomore
Jalynn Roberts (Davenport, IA) finished with eight kills and a team-high four blocks, while senior
Brooke Moore (Bloomfield, MI) contributed seven kills.
Sophomores
Amanda Moore (Caddo Mills, TX) and
Gabriella Gracia (
Trullia Alto, Puerto Rico) combined for 35 of the team's 38 assists with 22 and 13, respectively.
Freshman
Alliyah Williams (Sugar Land, TX) added eight digs for Kentucky State.
