Senior Kevin Hayes (Detroit, MI) tallied a team-high 13 points and senior David Jelks (Conyers, GA) added 12 points and tied a team-high with eight rebounds. Senior Austin Sherrell (Detroit, MI) finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Kentucky State shot 34.6 percent (18-of-52) from the field, while the Golden Rams shot a blistering 55.2 percent (32-of-58) from the floor.

The Thorobreds return to the court 3 p.m. Saturday at Lane College.
