Box Score 2 Winter Park, Fla.—Kentucky State University softball finished off a 10-game in 10-day road stretch away from the Capitol City by dropping both games of a doubleheader against Rollins College on Sunday afternoon.

The Thorobrettes (0-10) will head back to familiar territory after spending the last week and a half on the road in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, as they will play Bellarmine University in Louisville on Saturday, Mar. 4 in a doubleheader beginning at noon.

KSU matched with RC in the opening three frames, as senior third baseman drove in the tying run with a RBI single with freshman pitcher

The Tars pushed across three runs in the fourth, followed by five runs in the sixth, as the Thorobrettes failed to gain momentum offensively, for a 9-1 final.

Aikman picked up her second loss, but only allowed two earned runs over four innings of work.

Natalia Bocanegra knocked in the lone run for the visitors on a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring junior Brittney Gatley from third. Gatley picked up her third stolen base of the season after being placed in the game as the designated player.

Courtney Payne worked to keep the Tars in check but allowed four runs, three earned, in the first two innings. Payne struck out three and only allowed two walks, as she was saddled with her third loss of the season.
