Frankfort, Ky.—Kentucky State University bounced back from a tough loss at Central State University in late January with an 86-81 victory on Saturday at the Exum Center.
The Thorobreds (9-13, 7-7) picked up their second straight win and continue to accumulate SIAC victories, ranking them second in the West Division. The Marauders (8-17, 5-10) lost their second consecutive game and have now dropped five of their last six.

KSU turned to two familiar names in senior
Julius Barton and junior
Dorian Jordan to secure the win. Barton finished the day with 24 points and five rebounds, while Jordan picked up his seventh double-double of the season, accounting for 19 points and 13 assists.
It was the play of senior guard
Michael Cross and sophomore guard Toussiant Shaak Rose grabbing the attention of the raucous home crowd. Cross scored 12 points and snagged eight rebounds. Rose came off the bench for a season-high 20 points and a season-high eight rebounds, in 28 minutes of action.
