Wilberforce, Ohio.—Kentucky State University men's basketball dropped an 118-80 contest to Central State University in SIAC western division action on Saturday night in the Beacon/Lewis Gymnasium.
The Thorobreds (6-11, 5-5) dropped only their second game of the last six and remain in second place in the west division standings. The Marauders (7-12, 4-6) picked up only their second win in the last 10 games, and still sit in the bottom half of the division standings.

Julius Barton recorded team-highs in points with 24 and rebounds with seven. Junior guard
Dorian Jordan recorded 17 points and a team-high seven assists.
Early in the contest, KSU hung with rival CSU at a 20-20 tie, but the Marauders quickly jumped ahead with a 27-9 run through the first half, and never looked back. The Thorobreds gave up 17 total turnovers, while CSU capitalized, scoring 33 points off turnovers for the evening.
KSU will have a week between games, as Auburn University Montgomery will visit the Exum Center on Jan. 21 for a 3 p.m. ET tipoff.
