BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Kentucky State men's basketball team is set to take on the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers in the semifinal round of the SIAC Basketball Championship Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. (CT) on Friday night at the newly renovated Bill Harris Arena.

The SIAC West Division foes have met twice already this season with Tuskegee coming away with the victory both times. The Thorobreds shot just 24% (10-of-41) from 3-point range in their two games against the Golden Tigers.

#3W Kentucky State handled #6E Claflin, 76-55, on Tuesday evening to reach the quarterfinal round where they took care of business against #2E Albany State, 73-62, on Thursday night.
 
Tuskegee took defeated #5W Miles, 80-72, in their quarterfinal match-up. The Golden Tigers jumped out to a 17-0 lead to start their game against Miles but the Golden Bears would not go away and kept things close throughout.
