Box Score
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State junior Darquell Pulliam will remember Thursday night's home game against Tuskegee for a long time.

With just 3.4 seconds remaining, Tuskegee's Graham Olatunji converted a reverse lay-up to put the Golden Tigers ahead, 70-69. Kentucky State's Brandon Darrett quickly inbounded the ball to Pulliam who ran the length of the floor and hit a contested three-point shot as time expired. The shot gave the Thorobreds an improbable 72-70 victory over Tuskegee.

The conference win moves Kentucky State to 13-11 overall and 10-6 in SIAC action.

With the loss Tuskegee moves to 13-12 overall and 12-4 in SIAC play.

Aside from his game winner, Pulliam had one of his best games of the season. Pulliam finished the game with a team high 31 points, three assists, five rebounds and a steal. KSU also got a big contribution from Darrett who finished the game with a 10 point and 10 rebound double-double performance.

The Golden Tigers had four players score in double figures on Thursday night. Guard Javier McKinney led the team with 16 points, going 6-of-16 from the floor. Graham, who came very close to securing victory for Tuskegee, finished with 13 points and a team high eight rebounds.

Kentucky State actually struggled from the floor shooting just 37% as a team for the game. Besides Pulliam, who shot 10-of-16 from the floor, the rest of the Thorobreds combined for a dismal 10-of-44 shooting performance.

Besides shooting percentage neither team took a distinct advantage over the other in any statistical category.
