FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 22, 2012) -- The kentucky State University softball team has been invited to participate in the 2012 Citrus Classic, a fastpitch softball tournament hosted by ESPN Wide World of Sports. This marks the first time in program history that the Throbrettes participate in the Classic.
"We travel to Florida every year to compete," said KSU's Head Softball Coach,
Oscar Downs,Sr. "It's an honor to be invited to such a prestigious tournament and I'm glad we are able to participate."
The Thorobrettes who play Rollins College February 22 and 23, head to Lake Buena Vista on Friday and will play two games on Saturday, February 25. The Brettes take on Saint Leo (FL) at 10 a.m. and then play North Georgia at 2:30 p.m.
