FRANKFORT, Ky. (September 11, 2011) – Kentucky State University invites all area children to attend their upcoming football game, September 17 against the Stillman College Tigers. Children have the opportunity to experience a college football game as the Thorobreds host NCAA Football's annual “Take A Kid to the Game” (TAKG) program presented by Coca-Cola and sponsored by another Corporate Champion AT&T. Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Thorobreds at Alumni Stadium.
The Take A Kid to the Game? program is entering into its seventeenth year in the promotion of NCAA Football. KSU is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that are hosting a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games while inspiring them to pursue higher education.
“Kentucky State is excited to host the annual Take a Kid to the Game,” Dr. Denisha L. Hendricks, director of athletics at KSU said. “The game gives youth the opportunity to experience college football and be introduced to our athletics programs and campus.”
The Take A Kid to the Game program is one of the national promotions of NCAA Football, the marketing arm of college football. NCAA Football represents a coalition of the American Football Coaches Association, Collegiate Commissioners Association, Football Bowl Association, National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Football Foundation.
