The Tigerettes came out in the bottom of the first, loaded the bases and then took a 3-1 lead over the Thorobrettes on a base-clearing double by Denavia Harrison. The sixth inning proved fatal for the Tigerettes as KSU scored 4 runs to take a 12-5 lead. Tuskegee got a runner on in the bottom of the sixth, but the inning ended on a double play as Young lined out to McQueen who threw back to first for the double play.
