Save the Date and Take A Kid to the Game on February 19, 2011

FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Saturday, February 19, 2011, Kentucky State University's Department of Athletics will hold its annual Take a Kid to the Game when it hosts Tuskegee University.  Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket to watch the Thorobrettes and Thorobreds play at the Exum Center.

“Kentucky State is excited about this event,” Dr. Denisha L. Hendricks, director of athletics at KSU said.  “We will host two of more than 700 games to be played as part of the Take a Kid to the Game program, and we are very happy to be a part of youth-centered programs.”

Take A Kid to the Game® (TAKG) is a nationally recognized grassroots program developed, owned and managed by IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, the world's premier sports, media, and entertainment company, to encourage adults, alumni and fans to take children to intercollegiate athletic events. In its 14th year with men's basketball and 16th season with women's basketball, the TAKG program introduces youth to NCAA® member institutions within their community as well as the institutions' athletics programs. Tickets for this special game will be sold on game day only at the Exum Center ticket office.  For more information, contact Kentucky State's Department of Athletics at 502-597-6011 or visit www.ksuthorobreds.com.
