FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky State volleyball will play 30 regular-season matches during the 2026 season, including eight home contests and four Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) events.
The Thorobreds open the season with five consecutive matches in Frankfort, beginning Aug. 28 against Young Harris. The opening-day schedule also includes contests against Shawnee State before Kentucky Wesleyan and Georgetown visits Aug. 29 and Kentucky Christian comes to Frankfort on Sept. 2.
The first road swing begins Sept. 4 with four matches over two days in Crestview, Kentucky. Thomas More is among the scheduled opponents, while three additional opponents and all match times for the event remain to be announced.
Following a Sept. 15 match at the University of Charleston, the Thorobreds travel to Albany, Georgia, for the SIAC Crossover at Albany State on Sept. 18-19. The two-day event includes matches against Savannah State, Albany State, Clark Atlanta and Fort Valley State.
The conference schedule continues Sept. 25-26 with the SIAC Cluster at Central State in Wilberforce, Ohio. Kentucky State will face Spring Hill, Tuskegee and Miles before returning to Wilberforce for the SIAC East/West Crossover on Oct. 2-3. That event features matches against Allen, Benedict and Edward Waters.
Central State visits Frankfort on Oct. 9 before the Thorobreds travel to Fairfield, Alabama, for the SIAC Cluster at Miles on Oct. 16-17. The three-match event includes contests against Miles, Tuskegee and Spring Hill.
The final stretch of the regular season begins with road matches at LeMoyne-Owen and Lane. Both programs will then visit Frankfort for rematches Oct. 30-31.
Kentucky State closes the regular season at Central State on Nov. 6 and Shawnee State on Nov. 7. The SIAC Women's Volleyball Championship is scheduled for Nov. 12-14.
