ALBANY, Ga. –
Amina Seck posted her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead Kentucky State, but the Thorobreds fell 76-44 on the road to Albany State on Monday evening.
The first quarter started slow for both teams, with the Golden Rams using a late eight-point run to take a 12-6 lead with 1:44 left in the period. Each team added two points before the buzzer, sending Albany State into the second quarter ahead 14-8.
Albany State built on its momentum in the second quarter, turning an 11-point run into a 17-point lead and entering halftime up 30-17.
The Golden Rams continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring Kentucky State 23-10 in the third quarter to take a 53-27 advantage into the final frame.
A double-digit run in the fourth helped Albany State seal the win, handing Kentucky State a 76-44 defeat.
