MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Lane College took both games of Monday's doubleheader against Kentucky State baseball at USA Stadium in Millington, Tennessee.
Lane College scored nine runs over the first five innings before Kentucky State broke through in the sixth, when
Kendall Garland reached on an error that brought home
Brady Wooldridge.
Zion Lewis followed with a single to center field, scoring
Ashton Renfro to cut into the deficit. Lane responded with four runs in the bottom half of the inning to secure a 13-2 first game win.
In the second game, Lane College scored once in the second inning and added two more runs in the third to shut out Kentucky State, 3-0.
