TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Kentucky State softball dropped both games of their conference doubleheader to Tuskegee on Saturday, falling 14-1 in five innings and 8-0 in six innings at the TU Softball Field.
In the 14-1 five inning game one loss,
Savannah Teale led the Thorobreds going 2-for-3 at the plate that included an RBI as she drove in
Andralyn Brown at the top of the first inning.
Tuskegee answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning before erupting for 11 runs in the third to secure a 14-1 win in five innings.
Theresa Pelland started in the circle for the Thorobreds, allowing three runs on two hits.
Lisuanet Flores pitched in relief and surrendered 11 runs on seven hits.
The Golden Tigers pitched an 8-0 shutout in game two keeping the Thorobreds scoreless through six innings.
ON DECK
The Thorobreds will head to Owensboro, Kentucky for a doubleheader at Kentucky Wesleyan Thursday, April 10. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m. CT.
