FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State baseball falls 10-1 in their final game at Edward Waters Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
As an Edward Waters runner was put in scoring position on a wild pitch an additional wild pitch would send that runner home and earn the first runs of the contest.
In the third the Tigers scored four runs led off by a walk with the bases loaded, followed by a sacrifice fly and a pair of balks that extended 5-0 lead through three innings.
Zion Lewis found himself a homerun into left field in the seventh inning to score the lone run for the Thorobreds. The Tigers responded with four runs of their own to defeat the Thorobreds 10-1.
