ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its 2025 Football All-Conference teams on Tuesday, with Kentucky State earning four selections and head coach
Felton Huggins Jr. named Coach of the Year following a historic season for the Thorobreds.
Three Thorobreds were named to the All-SIAC First Team, led by redshirt senior
Daniel Bostic, who anchored one of the league's top rushing attacks and allowed zero sacks in conference play.
Joining him on the First Team offense was junior wide receiver
Darius Cyprian, who led all HBCUs in receiving yards twice this season, highlighted by a 254-yard performance in the win over Clark Atlanta that included an 81-yard touchdown—the longest reception of the week. He finished the season with 815 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, pacing Kentucky State's aerial attack.
On the defensive side, junior defensive back
Navy Curry earned First Team honors after leading the league with 0.40 interceptions per game and recording 147 return yards on four picks.
Senior
Jon McCall was named to the All-SIAC Second Team after ranking second in the conference with 11 touchdown receptions and fourth with 674 receiving yards this season.
In his third season at the helm, Huggins guided Kentucky State to one of its best campaigns in program history, earning SIAC Coach of the Year honors as his team currently holds NCAA DII Football Super Region Two Rankings and currently holds an overall 8-2 record and a 6-1 SIAC record that earned them a third place finish in conference rankings.
Kentucky State will keep its postseason hopes alive as it hosts Shorter on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. inside Alumni Stadium.
