FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State University K-Club has announced its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class, recognizing six individuals whose achievements, leadership, and impact have left a lasting legacy on Thorobred athletics.

The 2025 class features Ronald Banks, Alvon Brown, Lakuntra Farmer, Michelle L. Guerrero, Jefferson E. Walker III, and Takema White — a group whose excellence spans generations, sports, and roles across KSU Athletics.

Ronald Banks | Announcer / Contributor | 1976–Present
Affectionately known as the "Voice of the Horse," Ronald Banks has been the sound of Kentucky State football for more than three decades. Serving as the public address announcer for 32 seasons, Banks has called a record 165 football games and counting.

In 1995, he founded the Athletic–Alumni Motivational Task Force, an initiative designed to mentor student-athletes and prepare them for success beyond their collegiate careers. His commitment and voice have become synonymous with the KSU game-day experience.

Alvon Brown | Football | 1998–2001
A record-setting running back, Alvon Brown remains one of the most dynamic offensive players in KSU football history.

Brown is the school's all-time leader in rushing yards (5,137) and touchdowns (56). His 2000 season included NCAA Division II records for rushing yards in a half (229) and in a game (405).

He was twice named SIAC Offensive Player of the Year and Running Back of the Year (1999–2000), earned First-Team All-SIAC honors three times, and received Don Hansen All-America Honorable Mention recognition.

Lakuntra Farmer | Football | 1997–2001
A defensive anchor during his time with the Thorobreds, Lakuntra Farmer earned All-SIAC honors three times as a linebacker and led the league in total tackles (90) and tackles for loss (19) in 1998.

He was selected SIAC Special Teams Player of the Year that same season and earned national acclaim as a member of the Street & Smith Black College All-America First Team Defense in 1999.

Michelle L. Guerrero | Softball / Volleyball | 2002–2006
Michelle Guerrero is one of the most accomplished pitchers in KSU history, holding the program's best career winning percentage (.723) with a 68-26 record.

She ranks first all-time in wins (68), innings pitched (531), strikeouts (467), shutouts (21), and career ERA (1.14).

A four-time All-SIAC Academic Team honoree and All-SIAC First Team selection in 2004-05, Guerrero was also a two-sport athlete, lettering in both softball and volleyball.

Jefferson E. Walker III | Baseball Coach | 1979–1986
Jefferson Walker III led Kentucky State baseball to new heights during his tenure as head coach, guiding the program to a NAIA District 32 Championship in 1982 and earning Coach of the Year honors.

Walker's teams amassed 176 wins — the most in program history at the time — and recorded seven 20-plus-win seasons. His .598 career winning percentage ranks second all-time among KSU head baseball coaches.

Takema White | Women's Basketball / Softball / Volleyball | 1997–2001
A three-sport standout, Takema White excelled on the hardwood and diamond.

In basketball, she ranks first all-time in career steals (327), second in single-season steals (114 in 1999-2000), and seventh in free throws made (230). She was twice named KSU Defensive Player of the Year and once Most Valuable Player.

White's softball résumé includes a school-record .590 batting average in 1998, along with top-ten rankings in slugging percentage (.869) and triples (5). She earned six varsity letters across basketball, softball, and volleyball.
