MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Kentucky State women's volleyball team delivered a commanding 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-23) sweep of LeMoyne-Owen Friday at the Bruce-Johnson Hall.
Cydne Clayton led the attack with 11 kills on .360 hitting while adding 14 digs and two service aces for a match-high 13 points.
Laila Wheaton matched her production with nine kills, four blocks, and 13 points of her own.
Leah Tubbs added five kills on .444 hitting, and
Kyeana Biggs chipped in four kills and a block assist.
Setter
Jada Knight paced the offense with 18 assists and four service aces, while
Amber Gregory anchored the back row with a team-high nine digs.
Ananiah Huguely added 12 digs and six points on five kills and an ace.
As a team, Kentucky State hit .173 with 37 kills on 98 swings, finishing with eight aces, five blocks, and 55 total digs. The Thorobreds held LeMoyne-Owen to a .065 hitting percentage and forced 15 attack errors.

Kentucky State will remain in Tennessee and head to Jackson to face the Lane Dragons tomorrow, Nov. 1, the first serve is set for 1:00 p.m. CT.
