Kentucky State Hosts Clark Atlanta on Saturday for Senior and Frankfort Day

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Ranked third in the SIAC, the Kentucky State football team returns home to Face league foe Clark Atlanta Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
 
In celebration of the Frankfort community, general admission to Saturday's game will be free.
 
Series at Glance
Kentucky State and Clark Atlanta will meet for the 26th time Saturday. The Thorobreds lead the all-time series 17-8 and hold a two-game win streak over the Panthers.
 
A Look at the Panthers
The Panthers enter the matchup on a five-game losing streak after falling 55-41 to Edward Waters on Oct. 25, dropping to 2-6 overall and 1-5 in SIAC play.
 
Although opponents have averaged 199.9 rushing yards per game against the Panthers, Clark Atlanta has produced 251.8 rushing yards per game while holding opponents to 193.3 passing yards.
 
Clark Atlanta is led by wide receiver Armone Harris, who tops the SIAC with an average of 79 receiving yards per game.
 
From the Stable
Kentucky State enters the week coming off a bye and a five-game winning streak — its first since 2004. The Thorobreds sit third in the SIAC and also hold a spot in the NCAA Division II Super Region Two rankings with a 6-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference play.
 
The Thorobreds have also held steady at No. 5 in the 2025 HBCU Division II Football Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW.
 
Defensive back Navy Curry ranks fifth nationally, averaging 0.5 interceptions per game.
 
On offense, running back Chad Elzy ranks fifth in the SIAC, averaging 64.5 rushing yards per game. He is followed by fellow running back Jaylen Middleton, who sits 10th in the league with 42.4 rushing yards per game. Wide receiver Darius Cyprian ranks third in the SIAC, averaging 65.9 receiving yards per game, while teammate Jon McCall is fourth with 65.1 yards per game.
 
Defensive end Jordan Thompson has been a force on the line, ranking seventh in the conference with 1.43 tackles for loss per game and fourth with 0.86 sacks per game.
