FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State University Football team is ranked in the first edition of the NCAA Super Region 2 Regional Rankings.
 
The first edition of the Regional Rankings is in alphabetical order, with next week's release being the first true chronological ranking.
 
Along with being announced within the Regional Rankings, Kentucky State is ranked No. 5 in the BOXTOROW HBCU D2 Poll.
 
Kentucky State has won nine of its last 11 games and is riding a five-game winning streak — its first since 2004 — while improving to 6-2 on the season.
 
While Kentucky State finds themselves in the Super 2 Region Rankings, Albany State, Benedict College, Delta State, Edward Waters, Newberry, UNC Pembroke, West Alabama, West Florida, and Wingate are the other nine teams in this week's edition.
 
The Thorobreds will look to extend their momentum when they host SIAC opponent Clark Atlanta on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. inside Alumni Stadium.
