ALBANY, Ga.  –  In a tough final second's loss (31-28) to Morehouse at the Chicago Football Classic (CFC), Kentucky State football looks to rebound Saturday, Sept. 28 against the Albany State Golden Rams (1-2, 1-0 SIAC) at 4:00 p.m. inside the Albany State University Coliseum in Albany, Ga.
 
In their last time out the Thorobreds met conference opponent Morehouse College in the 26th Annual CFC (Sept. 21). The Thorobreds broke through on offense that was led by CFC Offensive Player of the Game Sophomore Denim Johnson who completed 14 passes for 136 yards, while leading both teams with 109 and rushing yards. Sophomore Tray Blackmon Jr. earned CFC Defensive Player of the game with key defensive stops, one interception and four tackles. Although many Thorobreds played well the Marron Tigers scored in the final seconds to take the classic 31-28.
 
The Golden Rams however defeated the Central State Marauders 28-7 in Rochester, New York for the Frederick Douglas Classic. Quarterback Isaiah Knowles completed 18 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns. The run game was led by Running back Tiant Wyche with 108 rushing yards. On defensive the Golden Rams kept the Marauders to only 89 passing yards and 54 rushing yards.
