FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State softball drops their final doubleheader of the season to the Asbury Eagles Thursday night inside State Stadium.
Between games six seniors were celebrated

Tayler Floyd,
Imani Reed,
Neomi Thomas,
Kamaria Hurse and
Tommya Davis.
The Eagles struck first scoring in the top of the first and added another run in the fourth to take a 2-0 lead. A triple by Floyd into center field earned the first run for the Thorobreds in the bottom of the fifth. Following two runs by Asbury in the six inning, Floyd hit another double into right filed this time to bat in two run. The late surge was not enough to overcome the early Eagle lead as the Thorobreds would fall 5-3.
Asbury would control game two with the Thorobreds lone run being scored in the first inning on a sacrifice fly that batted in Hurse. The Thorobreds would fall 11-1 to the Asbury in five innings.
Kentucky State ended their 2024 season 8-12 in conference play and 16-24 on the season.
