WILBERFORCE, Ohio – Kentucky State football will look to secure a road victory Saturday when the Thorobreds face rival Central State at McPherson Stadium in Wilberforce, Ohio. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. 
 
The Thorobreds (3-6, 3-4 SIAC) are well-rested after a bye week and enter Saturday on a high note, coming off a 23-20 victory over the Allen Yellow Jackets on Oct. 26 at Alumni Stadium. A 20-yard field goal by Landon Grover in the second quarter gave Kentucky State the three-points needed to win the game. 
 
Central State (1-7, 1-6 SIAC) is looking to end their five-game losing streak as they enter Saturday's game of a loss as they fell on the road to Allen, 41-3. The Marauders only win was on the road against Savannah State (10-3) on Sept. 14. 
 
LAST MEETING
In the 2023 meeting, Central State grabbed the lead in the first quarter and didn't relinquish it as a late touchdown sealed the Marauders win at Alumni Stadium. 
 
In the first quarter the Central State found the endzone on a 15-yard pass and Jeremiah Owens blocked the extra point to keep the Marauders to just six. At just under 30 seconds in the first Central State punched one into the endzone to take a 13-0 lead at the end of the first.

Donovan Journey scored the first points for the Thorobreds on a 19-yard run and a good extra point by Mason Molique brought Kentucky State within just one score of the 13-7 Central State lead at the half.

Molique found the uprights on a 33-yard field goal to bring the Thorobreds to within three of the 13-10 Central State lead at 11:02 in the third quarter.

The Marauders secured the win scoring on a nine-yard run at 1:41 in the 4th quarter to defeat the Thorobreds 20-10.
