MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Kentucky State women's volleyball continues play with a pair of SIAC road matches beginning in Memphis, Tenn. on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. against LeMoyne-Owen and ending at Lane on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
This weekend's matches provide the Thorobreds an opportunity to secure sole possession of second place in the SIAC West Division. Kentucky State is currently tied with Central State at 8-8.
On Friday (Nov. 8), the Thorobreds will meet LeMoyne-Owen who are 2-22 on the season and 0-16 in league play. Both teams last met recently on Nov. 2 and Kentucky State secured a 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 25-18) sweep over LeMoyne-Owen.
Following their match at LeMoyne-Owen the Thorobreds will travel to Jackson, Tenn. to take on Lane (8-17, 7-9 SIAC). Their last meeting (Nov. 1) was an exciting five set match but ended in a tough 3-2 loss for Kentucky State.
