FRANKFORT, Ky. – Khalia Bryant adds her third double-double of the season with 17 rebounds and 11 points in Kentucky State women's basketball 69-51 loss to Thomas More.
The Thorobreds shot 93.8% (15-of-16) at the free-throw line that included a perfect 6-of-6 from
Naja Fenelon.
In the first quarter both teams made seven shots from the field, but the Saints would end the quarter with a narrow 20-18 lead after four three-pointers.
The Thorobreds held the Saints to just nine points in the second quarter to gain them a 30-29 lead going into halftime.
Thomas More flipped the script in the third quarter limiting Kentucky State to eight points while scoring 16 points to lead the Thorobreds 45-38 at the end of the quarter.
Making 11 out of their 15 free-throw attempts and making six shots from the field in the fourth quarter the Saints were able to defeat the Thorobreds 69-51.
Kentucky State will remain at home and host SIAC opponent Savannah State on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. inside the Exum Center.
