Kentucky State to Face Albany State in the First Round of the 2024 SIAC Volleyball Championship

ALBANY, Ga.  – Kentucky State women's volleyball concluded the regular season ranked fourth in the SIAC West Division. The Thorobreds will face the top seed from the East Division, Albany State, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in the first round of the 2024 SIAC Volleyball Championship.
 
The Thorobreds concluded the regular season with a 9-13 overall record and a 9-10 mark in SIAC play. In their final three road matches, Kentucky State earned a 3-1 victory at LeMoyne-Owen on Nov. 8, followed by a 3-0 loss at Lane on Nov. 9 and a 3-1 setback at Central State on Nov. 16.
 
Albany State enters the SIAC Championship as the top seed in the East Division with a 17-9 overall record and a 15-4 mark in conference play. The Golden Rams, however, are on a two-match losing streak, falling 3-0 at home to Fort Valley State on Nov. 12 and 3-2 at Clark Atlanta on Nov. 14.
